Some wonder how we manage such a big family. I must give credit where credit is due. WIthout God's help, we couldn't do it! He sees that we are provided for in so many ways. We have seen provision of food and clothing that is amazing to me. I can't tell you how many times I have cried out for wisdom only to have a caring friend unknowingly tell me what i needed to hear or to just "happen" upon a certain scripture that reminds me of what I need at a certain time. He has healed our kids in miraculous ways. If not for Him revealing to us His love for children and what a blessing they are, we would have stopped at three and I would have missed out on eight of the most important people of my life! Oh I am SO thankful for His guidance!! And you know, some think we are "weird" for our faith in Jesus, but I say who cares!? He has never let us down. So, if you are going to read my blog, I hope you are not offended at my belief in Christ. If you are, you best not read my blog.

We have been married for almost 25 years and have managed to have eleven children in that time. Our oldest is 24 and our youngest is 3. Chris owns his own business, Famous Davis, and I am a doula. We homeschool our kids and find much joy in that. Our oldest three have graduated and are wonderful young adults, I think homeschool worked!
So, what is "Famous Davis"? And "how did they come up with THAT creative name?" The name came while we were at a certain rib joint wondering what we could name this business. I jokingly said "How about Famous Davis?" Hahaha *slap table* To which Chris and the kids said "YEAH!" You can see more about Famous Davis here: www.famousdavispro.com

Besides being a homeschooling mom of eleven, I am also a doula and student midwife. Now you are thinking "what in the world is doula?!" You can go here to see: www.newlifebirth.org I currently have a contract with the PET program at the hospital. PET stands for Pregnancy Education for Teens and I am the doula for the program. I am loving working with these young people! I also doula for other parents as well. Occasionally I assist at home births with a midwife. Sooo peaceful. If you are even considering a home birth but have questions, PLEASE ask me!
Here we are!
I have always wanted to blog about our life here. We have so many fun times, neat moments, and even frustrations because of our big family. It seems normal to me, but then little things happen or circumstances are different for us since we are larger in numbers and I remember how odd we are! For instance, our kids laugh that 6 of something is considered "family sized". Yeah, if half of us want to eat...
